Outlander: Season 1A Review

Outlander's a show I pretty much knew I'd enjoy from the moment I read the synopsis. It features a post-World War II era army nurse who travels back to 1743 Scotland, where she meets and falls in love with one of the Highlanders (who's also one of the sweetest, hottest guys in TV show history). It's the epitome of an epic time travel romance, but what I like is that this time the woman gets to travel back and apply her modern knowledge and values. Even better, it's set in the visually gorgeous Scottish Highlands and features sexy (though at times incomprehensible) accents galore. I'm happy to report the end result of the first half of season 1 delivered on my expectations, and in fact it's been a very long time since I've been obsessed with a series to the degree that I am with this.

I'm Going to Korea!

First off, I apologize for the sporadic blogging recently. I have so many shows on my to-finish list now that I'm not even sure where to start. The reason I'm not up-to-date isn't really anything special, just that I was tired of the whole week-by-week waiting game and also just needed a brief break to freshen up my mind.

In very exciting news, I will be going to Korea for the first time next Saturday!!! This makes me ridiculously happy, and while I sadly don't anticipate any celebrity sightings, I do expect plenty of food, some cultural events, and of course good shopping (those product placement CFs totally work on me). I'll be there for over a week, and will be visiting Seoul, Busan, Yangsan, and Ulsan. Not to worry, I will take photos and blog as much of it as possible, so keep posted here! The Bachelor Season 19: The Women Tell All Reaction

I know there's a lot of judgement associated with those who watch this show, and trust me, I get it. But that hasn't stopped me from tuning in since I marathoned Sean Lowe's season a couple years back, and last night's episode Women Tell All was so high-strung and anger-inducing that I feel compelled to react. As for the franchise itself, I actually don't care much for the romance aspect, which is unarguably hammy and unrealistic. What I enjoy is the fashion and the house drama, which can impart some valuable lessons on how you should and should not behave in society. This season was probably the best yet for this sort of learning, and here's a summary of my key takeaways for each woman:
